This interview with Paul Rodgers was conducted by Gwenael Kerlidou. At the time, an exhibition of Simon Hantaï's paintings, entitled Go Figure / Ground, was installed at the Paul Rodgers 9W Gallery. This exhibition was intended to bring American attention to the artist's retrospective which would shortly open on May 22nd, 2013 at the Musée d'Art Moderne, Georges Pompidou Center, in Paris.
